Axiata, one of Asia's leading telecommunications groups, needed to resolve persistent inconsistencies caused by the manual synchronisation of contact information between its partner and customer Active Directory environments. As the organisation grew, the manual process became operationally unsustainable.
The manual process of updating contact information between AD environments was time-consuming, error-prone, and delivered an inconsistent user experience. Incorrect or outdated contacts in the Global Address List (GAL) disrupted communication across the Axiata group. As headcount and partner relationships expanded, the risk of data drift and collaboration inefficiencies increased significantly.

Kloudynet deployed Microsoft Identity Manager (MIM) to automate GAL synchronisation between the two Active Directory environments. Custom rules were established to ensure only required attributes were synchronised, maintaining data integrity. A robust error-handling mechanism was implemented to proactively detect and resolve sync failures. Extensive testing and a pilot run ensured a seamless full deployment.
The solution delivered seamless, automated GAL synchronisation — eliminating manual errors and the associated operational overhead. Communication between partner and customer employees improved significantly. Data entry errors were eliminated. The IT team was freed from the burden of routine manual contact updates, and the Axiata group gained a reliable, scalable foundation for cross-organisation collaboration.
